#WcW To All M'Ladies Doin' Whats They Gots to Do!!
My Last Semester of College was Filled w 1sts, Ironically. It was Also Filled w Trials/Struggles I Never Would Have Predicted. That Said, as the End of the Semester Creeped Up I Sat Down w One Campus Pastors I'd Been Working w For Some Insight & Encouragement on What I Might Do Next. I'll Never Forget the Disappointment I Felt Walking Out of... His Office. He Said, "Stacie, You Just Aren't a Leader. You're a Great Assistant, but You Aren't a Visionary.". I'm Not Sure What I Was Expecting fr That Meeting, but I Can Tell You That Wasn't It. I Went to My Desk & Debated Crying. I Then Looked Around & the Lord Quickly Reminded My Spirit & Mind That the Position I Was Currently in Was Once Held by TWO Men. I Did the Work of 2 ppl! I Had Created a Protocol for the Job That Parts of are Still Used a Solid 18Years Later. I Helped Choose & Train My Successor. I Did That Full Time Job While Finishing My Last Sem of School, Working @ the School News Paper & Moving into My 1st Apt., Getting My 1st Cell, Paying Bills, etc. Basically, Being Grown! As All Those Facts Flooded My Spirit to Quickly Heal a Fresh Wound, I Walked Away fr that Job on to the Next w the Following Thought, Define Leader. Define Visionary. I Was 22 & All the "Visions" the Lord Had Allowed Me to That Point Had Happened, b/c He Not Only Gave Me the Vision, but He Made Me Capable of it All.
I've Seen That Pastor Couple Times Since Then & Always Wonder if He Knows the Weight Those Words Left on My Shoulders? It Doesn't Matter Now. The Lord Has Shown Me So Much & Honestly Had I Not Been So Disappointed by His Words I May Not Have Become So Focused on Who I Believe God Had Made Me, Callings He's Placed on Me & Gifts He's Given. I'm Here in Peace, but I Mean Business. I'll Not Look to Man for Whats Next, I'll Look to God. Look Up Loves, He Has Made You Capable & is Calling You to Something No One Else Can Do!
