Oh Me Of Little Faith

For weeks I've been concerned about one particular situation in my small small world. Every time I found my brow furrowing I'd remind myself, "The Lord will provide. Even in this silly nonsense.". Yet time and time again I found myself with that fretful furrowed brow.  Yesterday and today the Lord answered the prayers and concern of that furrowed brow. As soon as He answered I couldn't help but think how patient He is with me. Of course He provided, for even the silly nonsense in my life. He's named every star in the sky and knows of every grain of sand. My silly nonsense is smaller than the sand of course He knows and cares.

Every time He proves Himself faithful. Every time I am surprised.

Oh me of little faith.

When will I learn ?

The Word is quick to remind me. Indeed He is faithful and always will be.

Psalm 33:4 For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.

Psalm 86:15 But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.

Romans 3:3-4 What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God's faithfulness?  Not at all!

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
